Being attacked by butterflies (yes!)

Just bought a new house around two months ago, but every time I sit in the garden or one of my friends/family we are attacked by three red admirals. As soon as we sit down, the butterflies are flying into your faces and if we bat them away they come back even worse

We also have tried sitting there without moving thinking they would land but they continue to bat and come straight for our faces. It’s got to the point where I dread going outside.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I’ve googled and can’t really find out what to do- does anyone have any recommendations?

Plant lots of butterfly friendly plants to distract them?

Very odd. If it was affecting my use of my own garden I'd bring a fly swatter out with me

Citronella candle?

Plants that they love to distract them?

Where are you sitting? In the same place each time? Do you look like a flower?

Are you vaping something sweet? Diabetic?
