Google maps directions help

Can anyone make any technical suggestions please?

I do have Sat nav in my car but find Google maps can be more detailed when l need to find things like community or village halls. I have used this a lot in the past. However, the last couple of times I have needed this I get a voice command of turn left or right out of my house from the lady in my phone and then she doesn't speak to me again .

Have I offended her or do I need to find a setting somewhere?

I had this recently - resolution was to go into the Google Map settings, go to Navigation and check "Play voice over Bluetooth" isn't turned on. For me it was on (don't know how) meaning it was trying to talk via the car, which for whatever reason wasn't working/enabled.

Ah ha! Yes. The Bluetooth thing was turned on. Have now turned it off. Going out later and will test it.
