So today I was in Asda and I notice that everything is so much more expensive.
I know this isnt news but I cant understand why a Turkey leg which use to be about £2.50 is now £10, and 2 pieces of peppered smoked mackerel was shock horror £12!!!!!! How can they bloody justify charging this for the most usually cheapest food .every where I looked today everything seems to have doubled in price. It truly is disgusting. There is just me and DH so we arnt on the bread line but how on earth does a family of say 4 manage?

Smoked mackerel is 3 quid in our Asda or 2 pound something in aldi

Sounds like they were labelled incorrectly or 12 pounds is the price per kilo?

Reggieismycat · 28/07/2023 15:39

No I asked the girl and she read the label and said yes its the right price and not per kilo So maybe a fiddle going on.

I buy peppered mackerel online from Asda, it's £12.50 per kilo, just over £3.00 a pack of two pieces!!!

I bought peppered mackerel last week in there and it was about £3 for a pack of 3 fillets.

They have the wrong price on then because it was £12 In big bold numbers the same with the turkey legs. I will query it tomorrow again. Regardless, the prices are still ridiculous cheap belly of pork was £2.50 now £5.00.

Our shop for 3 has gone from £80 ish to about £120 easily a week. It’s mind blowing. Then all these places announce huge profits.
