How to choose a dentist

I haven't been to a dentist for 10 years other than to have a painful wisdom tooth removed.

I need to bite the bullet and go. I haven't got any issues with my mouth that I'm aware of but I know I'm storing up trouble by not going.

I cannot get an NHS appt whatever I try. So I've accepted that I'll need to take a private option despite struggling to afford it.

I've no idea how it works- are some private dentists more expensive than others? Where do I start and how might I find one which is affordable?

I found one that was good with nervous patients and had excellent reviews I don’t know how his costs compare, but I have no issues going anymore.

Go on recommendation.

Google ones in your area then go and have a look on their website. Lots of them do dental plans which make things more affordable and some do have some prices listed so you can get an idea of costs. Ask nearby friends which dentist they use for recommendations.

If they're good they'll have won a little 'plaque'

Toothfully, I think it's more about reviews :)
