What can I watch this weekend?

DH is taking kids to his parents Friday afternoon and they're not returning until Monday afternoon - whooooooooooop! I'm meeting a friend for lunch on Saturday but other than that, nothing planned and I really want to sit back and chill (rather than clean and de clutter the house which I may feel guilted into doing). What series can I watch? Or film? I've got Netflix, Disney and Amazon. I like true crime, medical, nothing too 'funny' or trying to be funny. I've recently watched (and loved) Happy Valley, Bad Sisters, Fleabag, Colin from Accounts, Love Life. So something along those lines but also something that will reach its conclusion in the space of eight hours watching. Specific enough?? 😂😂

If you've not watched it yet - The Sixth Commandment. Only 4 episodes based upon a true story. Superb acting.

Someone else recommended this to me, so it might be a good Sunday afternoon one 👍🏻

I'm late to the party on this one but I just watched Bohemian Rhapsody the Queen biopic with Rami Malek and wow, so good.
Ted Lasso?

GUILT!!!!! (BBC iPlayer)

It's so so good (just finished Season 1). It's absolutely brilliant from begging to end.

Thanks so much for this suggestion! Loving it!

I love all the tv shows you have listed and also enjoyed Derry Girls and Motherland.
Derry girls might take a couple of episodes but once you get into it it's so funny

IrisBearded · 04/08/2023 20:40

And yes to Ted Lasso, I've watched that more than once

The Devil's Hour is the best thing I've seen this year! Perfect for watching alone with absolutely no interruptions as concentration is required.

Oh bollux... just seen the date of the OP. I'm too late.
