Head lice!

Having a nightmare, DS’ x 2 and me all have/had lice.

I haven’t actually found any live ones since the first day but I’m doing a conditioner/nitty gritty comb through every other day (every day on the DC, every other on me, I have thick long hair and each go takes 2 hours!) and still keep finding the little brown eggs! Not just one or two either, at least 10 each time.

Will we ever be egg free? Is there any magic solution that kills the actual eggs for certain?

after go back to checking every other day with lots of normal conditioner

My daughter has thick long hair and the only thing that worked for us was hair straightening. The heat killed everything! I spent hours and hours combing with chemicals, tea tree, conditioner etc but they kept coming back (I wonder if they ever did go away). It's really worth a try with the hair straighteners, as when my daughter got to early teens she was doing it every day and the lice disappeared and never came back
