Bestway pool

We’ve got a Bestway steel framed pool that is filling up as we speak, I’m a pool virgin so I have no idea what I’m doing. We’ve got a pump and a solar pool heater, but it looks like they can’t be used at the same time as there’s only two outlets, my question is how often does the pump filter have to be on? And surely if the solar heater thing isn’t on all the time the pool is going to be freezing cold again really soon. Confused!

do you have a cartridge filter or a sand pump.I find the cartridge one not very strong so has to be put on longer but a sand pump just a few hours a day.

Mines always cold i find i can only use it on a 23 plus day ,its been covered for weeks the weathers just been to awful.

Have you got ph minus, chlorine granules ,chlorine tablets ,pool shock and pool strips.Thats what you need to keep it clean.pool vac if you can afford it really helps

I have a chlorine dispenser in at all times with tablets and pop in a bucket of chlorine powder with water in every few days.I use the test strips to find out when i need to add another bucket .Ph minus if the ph to high ,like other granules add to bucket of water and pop in before bed .Leave pump on overnight to mix stuff.Since mine been out of action i keep it covered to stop the sun burning off the chlorine .I put in pool shock which is unstable chlorine very powerful chlorine that burns off easy in the sun.So whilst my pool out of action i add a bucket once a week and regularly turn on the pump.

never used a solar heater

Do you not connnect both the pump/filter and the solar heater in series between the outlet and inlet of the pool?
