How to make moving day less stressful?

I have just found out we are moving next week and it is 4 hours in a taxi, that I am yet to arrange and struggling to find (Anyone know of any reputable taxi companies in Scotland? 🤞) It will run over lunch time, and it is a massive disruption to routine. The house will be empty, we could be stood around hours waiting for everything to be delivered, installed and set up

Pick what you need for the kids and take it in the taxi with you. Plus kettle, tea bags, mugs and some snacks. Do you know anyone at the new location that you could visit for the few hours?
