If you've replaced an Android phone screen, what did it cost?

I have mobile phone insurance through my Nationwide building society account, and have used it a few times when my sons have cracked their screens. They charge a £60 excess and I have to send it off for a few days so it's a hassle. How does that price compare to a typical high street mobile phone shop repair?

I have had two in the last year....
First was £65, and they did a really bad job with the glue, which affected the touchscreen ability. (Small shop in nearby town - not much English spoken.... ) Another £10 for glass screen protector.

Another small but very reputable shop in next village. £75, but included a battery. I bought a glass screen protector separately for £5. (And I have now broken it again!)

It will probably depend on the make/model (mine is Huawei) - but the £60 excess sounds good to me. I don't think you will get a good job done for less.

(Timpsons do screens and repairs, maybe look on their website for an idea.)
