What days out can I do with the kids

I'm looking for ideas for days out with the kids. The kids are 7,8,13. I don't drive so it's by train /public transport. I'm traveling from SE London. No museums though. Any ideas?

Days out I had on the train from London as a kid included Chessington, beaches at Southend and Margate, South Downs/Surrey hills… loads really. My best friend’s family didn’t have a car and her Mum was always taking us places on the train.

Eltham Common, Crystal Palace Park, the Woolwich Ferry, day trip to Canterbury, day trip to Margate/Whitstable, day trip to Brighton, Kew Gardens in Windsor, Chessington World Of Adventures, Legoland Windsor, Thorpe Park, Harry Potter World in Watford, London Zoo, London Fields Lido, Portobello Road Market, Camden Market, Beacon Wood Country Park, Chislehurst Caves...
And that's just off the top of my head. You've got so much to do! There's also boatloads of places to do indoor rock climbing, trampolining, indoor swimming, ice skating, roller skating, horse riding, etc if you have a look on Google Maps. Just pick whatever you fancy really.

We do sometimes go to the woods in the Eltham area . Then we go for something to eat.

Woolwich ferry sounds awful 😅. I think its closed anyway. But could get a nost from Greenwich to London maybe depends on prices.

I went to Crystal Palace Park a few years back it was awful. So never went back. I have heard they are doing up. So hopefully be a good place again.

We normally do Margate for a beach day easy to get to.

We will go to London zoo

I just checked lido . Can only go for an hour so that's a no.

Markets definitely a no. Going to Google yoir other suggestions as well . Inthink there is an indoor place that does a mix of climbing wall , trampoline and stuff .

Thank you for your help

What about a national trust membership?

You can really get your moneys worth and kill loads of time at them.

Think their website tells you how to get to places by public transport too.
