Travel tips for Kos?!

I am flying to Kos on Wednesday! I’ve never been to the island before and will be staying in Kos town. I am looking for any recommendations for:

  • nice places to eat
  • lively / fun bars
  • things to do during the day

Is Kos town lively?

TIA

Go to Zia for a sunset dinner. The restaurant we went to was called Oromedon and the food was amazing. The barman and rep at our hotel recommended it and the rep booked us a table, you absolutely do need to book because the restaurants get busy and the rep or person at the hotel can ask for a table with a good view.

Zia is a really pretty little village at the top of a mountain where you get the best view of the sun setting over Turkey. It’s really beautiful.

The beaches are lovely and the sea is very calm, clear and warm. We didn’t go to Kos Town because we stayed at the other side of the Island, but we’re booked to go back next year nearer to Kos Town.

Lambi beach is just outside Kos town, but is a nicer beach and not as crowded. Has a nice beach bar , iirc its caled Mylos. Would recommend beach shoes but you can pick them up super cheap in the town if you dont have any.

We did a 4x4 trip which we enjoyed.

If you are into your ancient history, there is loads to see, but the heat might curb your enthusiasm.
