Building regulations compliance certificate for a boiler/shower

Does anyone do this for a job or has a partner who does? My mum’s buyer is requesting these certificates for the downstairs shower room (installed 30 years ago) and the boiler, which was obviously installed by a qualified gas engineer and serviced last year. I’ve never heard of these being required, certainly not for a boiler and I’ve had 2 installed myself in recent memory.

Can anyone help? Are they required, especially given the shower room, installed by a family member who does plumbing (loo, sink, electric shower)

Many thanks! @pigletjohn

Boiler was installed 15-20 years ago-was the certificate needed then? I can’t find anything on gov.Uk building regulations.

No you don't have to provide the original boiler installation certificate. It would be relatively pointless after so long anyway. We moved recently, just provided a gas safe certificate from a certified gas safe engineer, he also serviced it. As far as the bathroom goes, no need to provide anything

Thanks. Turns out the boiler was only installed 9 years ago, I checked. It was under £7 for a copy, got one just in case. One buyer already messed mother around and I want to ensure we tick all the boxes, she’s 85 and doesn’t need any extra hassle having moved from her home of 40 years, bless her!
