I love watching a particular Scandi channel and a couple of channels featuring Asian women, (one has a family, the other lives alone). I've picked up so many tips about organising and worthy items to buy from Amazon/Ikea. The background music used by all three is subtle and therefore makes me feel relaxed. But what stikes me in particular is how each of these women really makes time to cook and present meals just for themselves, with a nicely set tray or place at the table. The Asian women in particular have half a dozen individual dishes (obviously some are quite small and some are just sauces) but they prepare them so well. And here I am, with quite a few major health issues and really should be making more of an effort but all too often don't because I lack the energy because I don't eat well, so feel tired, and rinse and repeat.

I do make an effort feeding my own family and the table is always set for them but my health issues mean I frequently struggle with what to eat and unfortunately all too often resort to packet/boxed/easy meals that are really not the best quality for nutrients and health. And I keep promising myself I'll make more of an effort but then I think, well it's just me so I open a tin of soup or make toast (neither healthy nor nutricious) and drink/eat on the couch. I could slap myself and end up feeling grumpy and frumpy and utterly fed up.

Anyone else?
