Year 7 shoes

I'm at a loss. Daughter is going into y7 in September and for the past few years she has wore plain black all leather 'converse-style' shoes (no visible logos). The new high school is a bit more strict on footwear, their policy states shoes should appear professional, black, polished, non-trainer style, non-boots. Daughter's style is not, soz to use the term, girly, preferring the baggy 90s grunge look, and her footwear of choice is docs, crocs, and converse. I love her style, just not sure where the fudge I can buy 'professional' (eye roll) shoes for her. Oh, she also has sensory issues, hates seams in socks, that kinda thing. Any suggestions?

We went patent brogues.

You can. Also get dm school shoes which we did a year or two in when I was sure her feet weren't growing!

DS (so autistic, SPD etc) wears plain black Campers. Velcro fastenings. Similar style to
Converse. Worth a look.

My daughter and most other girls at her school wears Doc Martens or brogues. They are both on the approved school list as formal, office style etc. Autistic with sensory issues here too and she finds them comfortable. Good luck, it can be a total nightmare!

Thank you, lots to go in here. After uniform shopping day, I need to lie down in a dark room.

DM shoes! The black patent ones are a classic - I wore mine from Y9 onwards and still wear the same pair almost 20 years later.

Clarks do a couple of brogue style options in both leather and black patent. The kids range is cheaper than the ladies and go up to big sizes.
