I have two kindle fires that I'm paying an Amazon Kids+ subscription for. My two kids now have PCs and, since I've lost my job, I'm thinking about cancelling the subscription. I've seen a few ideas for repurposing Kindles but I would predominantly want to use them for Netflix kids and downloaded movies so we can take them on road trips and possibly Youtube Kids. They've also got Minecraft on there too but that's about it, I'm not fussed on the Amazon content on their that may be lost after the cancellation!
Does anyone use their Kindles successfully this way? I am mindful of keeping them away from the adult Netflix profile but I believe you could do this via a PIN. I'm also wondering if they need an internet connection when playing Netflix downloaded content, not sure if it connects first to login / check security etc
