Fantastic swimming pool?

I've lived in a small place with an utterly minging pool for a few years now.

At some point, we will need to move nearer good hospitals and other amenities, anyone live near a fantastic pool/gym complex?

I read about the one in Edinburgh that was historic with rings but never got to go there.

This is just for dreaming, so location doesn't matter.

My dream pool would be an outdoor heated one in a picturesque location. There's 3 about an hours drive in different directions for me, so too far to go regularly, I'd love to be able to just go when I felt like it. Or if I lived somewhere properly warm with a natural sea pool like they have in places like Madeira.

Then there's the old bath houses, a few of which still exist. I go to one of these quite regularly, it's lovely with old tiling and a glass roof.

I've been to a couple of Victorian ones in Edinburgh. I've never been to the Turkish Baths in Portobello tho.

Nantwich has an outdoor pool but I've not been there either.

The Perth pool is old and dirty. Went recently and it was one of the worst pools I've been to. It needs to be upgraded.

Move to Europe OP. 😄 It's the only solution.

Eldest always gets a tummy bug after Pert pool. We now swim in quiet and boring Aberfeldy.

Perth pool is a depressing, worn out dive. I think it was considered something to write home about when it was opened but it's just a neglected, dirty place now.

New one in Brighton. Charlton lido, heated and has a gym. David Lloyds al have heated pools here.

Think we might me a bit far from you though op.

Looking to upgrade from standup pool to inground pool. Not sure what our decision making should be on the type of liner.
Any starter tips?

Ha, ha, I'm most definitely in the UK but in a bit of a pool desert. Currently have a pollution alert on the beaches here too.

I love swimming but know too much about chloramines for my own good, skin reacts badly when the water quality isn't good.
