Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, sitting in my kitchen spot. I have the window flung open so I can hear the birds & I've been watching a squirrel tootle about on the fence along the back for a while. No one else is up yet & it's lovely 😊

I think today will be another quiet one here. I'll wash the towels and tidy round but that's probably it for housework.

Dd2 has asked dd1 to help her with her maths homework so it's done - I'm not sure it makes a difference whether she does it or not, with it being the summer hols, but she's convinced her teacher will see if she hasn't done it & hand out a detention on the first day back (it's done online).

Dd1 was considering a trip into town to Home Bargains. Not sure what for tbh - probably nothing important 🤷‍♀️ I might suggest she waits & we'll jump on the bus to the better one up the road at some point this week.

I'm going to spend the majority of my day sitting right here, crafting, I think! I want to finish the last part of my Hansel and Gretel props so I can varnish them, and carry on my crochet. I think my dad's coming for a cuppa too at some point.

We'll have roast gammon and cauli cheese for tea. Might even make some Yorkshire puds to go with it 😋. Then an evening in front of Food Network with my book or more crochet.

No birds or squirrels here, can just hear kids screeching their bike tyres up and down the road doing wheelies 😂

Paddleboarding this morning and then a picnic. Hopefully we are doing absolutely nothing this afternoon!!

We've taken the dog for her walk and found a big puffball mushroom so we're having puffball omelettes for breakfast!
I'm going to get on with knitting a willow pattern jumper and make a raspberry crumble.

I'm just eating toast then I'm off to pick up a friend who recently had a knee op. We're going to meet some other friends to watch Barbie and then I'm taking her to sainsburys to do a bit of shopping. Think I'll buy a bottle of wine whilst we're there to enjoy this evening.

Very breezy here. Beautiful foal and Mum in the field behind our garden and the keep popping their heads over our fence.
Going to walk the dogs and then sit and paint an abstract piece I'm trying to finish.
Moules frites for early supper with a glass of vino is planned.
And then I'm going to start rewatching Luther again. Enough years have passed for me to have forgotten the details.

I got up at 6.30 to take dd to work. Had my second coffee now eating peanut butter on toast.
It's chucking it down here so not a lot planned, need to do a bit of housework but that's it. Might go to aldi later for something for tea, bit of a lazy day planned which I'll enjoy as it's my day off 😃

Good morning Lucysmam and all. I'm about to have a second cup of coffee. I've had first one with an almond croissant. I plan on doing the mountain of ironing from last week's holiday. Then I'll visit mum in hospital later. That's all. A quiet day ahead

I loved Hansel and Gretal as a child. We are having roast pork (fillet) homemade stuffing and roast potatoes (all the veg and potatoes peeled & stuffing made yesterday so an easy meal for me)

we have a bathroom unit to build (old one packed in and it’s unsightly)

that’s really it !! No major plans (very bad rain)

I'm sitting in my awning have coffee and toast made by ds. We are away in our caravan for two weeks. Just arrived yesterday. Its breezy but blue skies so we are off out exploring soon 🙂

Sitting on the sofa with dcat who's having a break from feeding kittens. Had toast and tea and browsing for a new pair of ankle boots, looking at the weather outside I think I need them sooner rather than later.
We have some jobs to do around the house before collecting DD from her dads. Not sure what's for tea but a pp has given me a craving for crumble so that might be nice.
