Which playdough sets do your 4 year olds enjoy? Maybe a kitchen creations one?

I’d make your own playdough and keep it in the fridge ( salt dough that you make in a pan) Use with plastic cutters, rolling pin, child’s scissors, plastic knife snd fork, cake cases etc.
Encourages imaginative play and develops fine manipulative skills. You can use letter and number cutters or roll thin sausage shapes with hands and make letters.
Play shop, cafes etc.

My 4 year old isn't really into the sets. We just buy packs of playdoh and have a collection of old cookie cutters that he uses.

Theres a starter pack with cutters and rollers that’s popular in this house.

Do not, repeat Not get the hairdresser one! They need you to clip the heads on and off and more play doh gets in the mechanism than comes out the top. It’s infuriating!

We love play doh sets here.
The kitchen creations one is great the one we use most. The oven lights up and pings. It's cool it makes it look like your "cakes" are rising (I'm easily pleased 😃). We've had it years dd is nearly 6 and we still play it. We have the hairdresser one too that's great fun but a faff to clean up. My dd is obsessed with peppa pig so the peppa set gets used a lot here.

The only one we have that we don't use too much is the gold mining one. oh and my mum has the sweetie factory one that ones a bit rubbish and you're forever digging the doh out of the crevices. Hope that helps xx

Just to echo the previous poster the hairdresser one only works with "fresh" playdoh as soon as it goes a bit hard it stops working very well.

We have one that makes ‘coffees’ and ‘smoothies’ complete with whipped cream on top, as well as a huge array of cakes and biscuits. That one gets a lot use, as does the unicorn which poops ‘ice cream’ complete with sound effects 😂

the dentist is a PITA mind. Avoid that one.

Thanks for the tips on which ones to avoid 😆 we have lots of pots of playdough and a box of utensils/cutters etc already so just looking for maybe a set she can use with it.
