DH is cooking a lamb chilli because it feels so cold and wintery here (raining ALL day) with wedges and rice. I'll be opening a nice bottle of Malbec as soon as DS is in bed and I think we've decided on Empire of Light for a film. How about everyone else?

Peanut butter on toast in front of Brokenwood Mysteries.

Baneofmyexistence · 22/07/2023 19:37

We ate chicken, rice, salad and crusty bread earlier. DH had gone to the gym so I’m having a cup of tea and chocolate in peace. Not really watching much at the moment so I’ll probably read whilst he is out then when he gets back he’ll probably find a crime documentary he wants to watch!

DirectionToPerfection · 22/07/2023 19:41

Thai takeaway and we're about to watch the last episode of Ted Lasso 😭

Yiayoula · 22/07/2023 19:41

Chicken , jacket spud and salad here : currently watching Celebrity Catchphrase but when DH decides to “rest his eyes” I’ll be catching up on the Sewing Bee episodes I missed whilst we were on holiday .

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 22/07/2023 19:42

Chicken kebabs which are breast I marinaded at 1pm in smoked paprika, Ras El Hanout, lemon juice, a small amount of olive oil and chilli. Had them in a wholemeal wrap with homemade tzatziki, a few sweet potato wedges and a salad of sorrel, red onion, avocado and tomatoes.

Listening to the brilliant Liza Tarbuck, drinking a Rioja and the French doors are open with the rain lashing down. No watering required.

Bloody lovely Sat night.

ChrisPPancake · 22/07/2023 19:42

DH made lahmacun. I really fancy apple crumble and custard but not enough to go to the shop in this weather! (Did do a 6 mile walk in it earlier though because we're nuts).
Will watch last night's Gogglebox with dc in a bit, then something with dh, maybe 24 hours in a&e or the Sandi Toksvig travel programme on C4.

pinksquash13 · 22/07/2023 19:44

I had a burger with homemade coleslaw. Then a delicious white choc and biscoff flapjack which I bought from cafe yest. Watching Derry Girls. Really cheering me up.

Ilovelurchers · 22/07/2023 19:46

I made a chicken curry with homemade naan breads (which we both love). We were watching a really old Eddie Izzard stand-up thing (tho I was mainly reading) but my husband has now gone to bed. I will join him shortly but may have some of the millionaires shortbread I made earlier first..... (I primarily made it for my daughter when she comes back from holiday with her dad - but now it is here I can't stop thinking about it.....)

ChrisPPancake · 22/07/2023 19:49

Score! Just remembered there's a pot of profiteroles in the fridge I bought the other day Grin

LazyLeopard · 22/07/2023 19:51

I love threads like this thanks OP!

Teens have just had their choice of ready meal (Saturday night treat) and are now upstairs with whatever crap they watch on YouTube.

I’m cooking a base curry sauce ready to make a homemade take away curry (not a fake away, a proper fatso one) and pops and naan. So DH has handed me a rather nice glass of blush.

Not sure what we’ll watch after. Any suggestions?

Simonjt · 22/07/2023 19:52

Quorn nuggets, chips and mixed veg for tea.

Our toddler is asleep on me, but not asleep enough to be moved, so I’m trapped for now. When we can moved the little beast we’re going to go for a bath and share some beer while we’re in there, then we’re thinking of watching Silo, we’ve both read the book.

fatpenguin10 · 22/07/2023 19:53

Had peanut stir fry for dinner and now the baby is in bed, having a glass of wine in front of Inside Number Nine. DH is moving his study to the top floor so that DD can have a playroom - don't want to see how he's doing as I don't want I'm to ask me for help.

geminiflanagan · 22/07/2023 19:56

Homemade chicken korma with rice and naan, me, DH and DD10. Now chilling out watching Jonny English today and listening to the rain. I did have a moment of happiness earlier for our little cosy family Saturday evening <3

Motheranddaughter · 22/07/2023 19:57

Take away curry and red wine
Watching Top Gun Maverick
Have been out the last 3 nights (2x on business) so really need some chill time

Jakadaal · 22/07/2023 19:57

DH away on a golf trip, Ds 20
Had friends around for 'pre's' before going out to celebrate his 20th birthday. I am planning a cheese board and some deli bits for a picky tea later and have found a film on Netflix I fancy that DH would never watch. Bliss!!!

Lifeisrelentless · 22/07/2023 19:59

Garlic and herb spatchcock chicken with airfryer roast potatoes, carrots, green beans and gravy. Watching an old series of American horror story!

garlictwist · 22/07/2023 20:02

Just me in as DH away. I've eaten three yogurts as I cba. Now in bed trying to keep warm as it's so cold and damp for July.

weegiemum · 22/07/2023 20:05

I'm drinking a very nice Australian Sauvignon Blanc and thinking about tea - dh has left over Indian takeaway and I can't be bothered cooking so it might be toast.

Dh watching the F1 qualifying on catch up and I'm pootering on Mumsnet. Don't think I've got the energy to watch anything tonight, we've had family from Canada visiting all weekend and are going to see Oppenheimer tomorrow.

IHeartGeneHunt · 22/07/2023 20:05

Asda veg pizza because I cannot be arsed cooking today, I'm poorly. Got a decaf coffee and VHS to watch. The film, not an actual video.

Silkierabbit · 22/07/2023 20:05

Having homemade veg lasagne and just watched Brain on Fire on Netflix.

Ambi · 22/07/2023 20:06

I've been munching unhealthily all day, this evening I've had half a meat feast pizza, scampi fries and I'm on my second glass of cabernet sauvignon.

The DCs and dog are watching Harry Potter in the den, DH is working tonight. I haven't decided what I want to watch tonight, currently watching Travelers on Netflix but it's not grabbing me.

Gonnawashmymouthout · 22/07/2023 20:06

We had veggie chilli for dinner, and then popcorn this evening while watching Alvin and the chipmunks in our holiday lodge.

Yetisrus29 · 22/07/2023 20:06

Steak for dinner, just watched a couple of episodes of Doctors whilst drinking gin wondering why summer has gone on holiday.

Hidingawaytoday · 22/07/2023 20:08

We were out all day, so I stuck a lamb and aubergine curry in the slow cooker before we left for dinner this evening... it was just what was needed after a long drive on a very rainy motorway. DD went to bed not long after, so we're settled watching the Lincoln Lawyer.

Whiterose23 · 22/07/2023 20:10

We’ve arrived on holiday and it’s been raining all day. After a 9 hour drive we’re shattered and can’t be bothered to go out or cook a proper meal so we’re having a spatchcock chicken, wedges and a salad with a bottle of Malbec.
We’ll probably start season 7 of outlander
