Just getting ready for my first spa day with friends tomorrow - info says take two lots of swim clothes do you don't sit around wet but I only have 1 costume and 1 bikini...Suddenly thinking that a bikini might not be okay etiquette wise ...

Is it a very skimpy bikini or a more covering one?

LadyFlumpalot · 22/07/2023 14:37

It's fine. I have never work a one piece to a spa. In fact it's easier if you are going to have a massage as you only have to take your top half off, not bunch a wet one piece round your hips.

High waisted bottoms so they're not skimpy, the top is quite low cut I guess

I don't own a costume so would always wear a bikini to something like this.

Oh great thank you I'll take both then, I don't want to be uncomfortable and wet over lunch!

I don’t own a one piece. Neither do most of my friends. Bikinis are totally fine! I’ve never done a swimsuit change either, they dry pretty quickly so long as you don’t wear one with boob padding!

Sounds fine to me, a thong might be a bit dodgy etiquette wise! It’s only so you have options anyway, take both and you can judge when there.

I’ve always worn bikinis to spas.

Yes totally fine! I find a bikini much better if you're having a massage as you can just take the top off.

Thank you, it's got no padding!

I've only ever taken one swimsuit - usually a bikini. It's fine. You usually get a robe to wear for sitting around in/lunch etc.

Yes it's absolutely fine. Enjoy!
