It’s so damp and cold here, the end of my nose is cold. Would it be unreasonable to put the heating on in July ? 🥶

Yes it would. Jumper?

Moltenpink · 22/07/2023 09:31

I’m still in bed, I recommend it

over50andfab · 22/07/2023 09:34

Still in bed here too in winter dressing gown. Fleecy joggers and top when I get up

VisionsOfSplendour · 22/07/2023 09:48

Imagine the internet didn't exist, what would you decide, do that 😂😂😂

VikingLady · 22/07/2023 09:54

It's been raining here fairly consistently, and it's chilly out. But I'm roasting indoors, sleeping under just a sheet.

Given this is an old house with high ceilings, I strongly suspect the smell of weed drifting through from next door may involve as much growing as smoking....

AIBU to leave sobbing then in to the police until the weather warms up? Grin

How cold does it have to be? I'm in London, it's a balmy 18 now. I can imagine if you were, say in Falmouth (I was last week) where it's raining snd 16 you'd feel a chill but a jumper or fleece would do it. Or Scotland where I see it's 12 degrees somewhere and a bit drizzly? Then I'd be tempted for sure!

I keep wearing the wrong clothes. Was freezing in the office in a dress, then boiling yesterday in a shirt and trousers.

Nannyfannybanny · 22/07/2023 09:56

Depends where you live, the artic? We're in the SE corner of the UK 10 minutes from the sea. It's been mid to late 20s, very little rain.

DustyLee123 · 22/07/2023 10:00

So yesterday I was wearing shorts and T-shirt, complaining about the heat. Today I delved under the bed to get winter clothes out. Welcome to summer 🤣🤣

I put the heating on yesterday for 40 minutes!

Newestname002 · 22/07/2023 10:09

During the week I had a heater on for an hour or so in the living room as the air felt clammy, plus I'm still wearing layers of winter clothing/Oodi plus fleecy slippers. 🌹

MistyGreenAndBlue · 22/07/2023 10:11

I had mine on earlier. If you're cold, you're cold

gingercat02 · 22/07/2023 10:17

I lit the fire on Tuesday night as it was cold and damp

tobee · 22/07/2023 10:37

I just got back from the south of France last night. Temperature was 33 degrees. I've just checked and it's 17.4 degrees here in SW London. 😑

aintnospringchicken · 22/07/2023 12:28

Nope, definitely won't be putting the heating on anytime soon.
It's 15 degrees here (East of Scotland) and the sky is looking brighter after a wee bit of drizzle. I'm inside with cropped jeans and a t shirt.DH is in shorts.
