Just watched this documentary on ITV about the murder of Cheryl Hooper by her bastard of an estranged husband back in 2018.
It's a textbook abuse story, and terrifying. A must-watch for any and all women who may think that what they are going through in terms of coercive control, financial abuse or physical abuse, isn't too bad, or that they deserve it, The sheer speed and scale of escalation was just appalling.
Her daughter is truly, truly remarkable. She witnessed the crime, aged 14, testified aged 15 and is a wonderful, eloquent and strong young woman now, explaining how she didn't really understand the non-violent abuse to be abuse per se , and didn't see the danger coming. She's not alone.
Glad to see that the bastard murderer not only got life, but lost 2 appeals -and half his face- when he unsuccessfully shot himself.
I hope he rots in hell
Anyone else seen it?
