Mortified - shirt button came undone in interview!

Oh my god - I've just got home after a job interview and my shirt button had popped open. I've no way of knowing if it happened at the interview or after but I think it was at the interview because of the way they were looking at me. I AM MORTIFIED! Please please share your stories of similar so I don't feel so alone!

Really don't feel embarrassed. I know easier said than done! I'm sure the interviewers realised what had happened (as long as you weren't going for a job as a lapdancer??😂). I once gave a presentation at work with my trousers zip undone..... only realised when I went to the loo!! Nightmare.

Thank you. Not a lap dancer haha although not sure my style of bra would have even got me that job 😂 it's the 2nd time something like that has happened in a professional setting and that is 2 too many times. Time to stop wearing button down shirts I think. 'Fool me once' and all that!

Ok I'll hold on to this - we notice things about ourselves more than other people notice things about us I guess. Either way it's done now. Am feeling less mortified now I've got a bit of distance (and taken the offending shirt off).

If I was interviewing I would have said if I noticed a popped button. It's bloody mean to sit and say nothing. Don't worry about it. I recruited for years, hundreds of people and compared to some stuff I've seen a popped button wouldn't even raise an eyebrow.

I went to an interview between Christmas and New Year and had been away with my partner. I was wearing suspenders and stockings under my clothes and whilst I was in their reception waiting had to adjust them. I didn’t see the security camera as this was 40 odd years ago and not common for offices to have them. I was mortified when they showed me the cameras as I knew they saw me showing everything. I did get the job.

I also had another interview somewhere else, my very first interview. The chap sat looking at my boobs the whole interview, I was very uncomfortable and how I wish now I had said something. I didn’t get that job.

I just got the job! Haha maybe it worked in my favour 😂
