Private view at the Royal Academy

I have been lucky enough to receive some tickets Tia private view of the summer collection at the Royal Academy. Has anyone ever been to one of these? Do I need to dress up?

You’ve got quite an eclectic choice:

*full on “just come from the office”

• full on designer
• “I’m an artist so I wear what I like”

Quiet luxury is always good if you’re over 40.

If you’re on Instagram then type in the keywords and see what other people are wearing. Here is an example.

Do you mean the summer exhibition? It's been on for a while so am not sure what pv it would be? Wear what you want. Full ballgown, swimming costume, Tesco uniform, T shirt and jeans. No one will bat an eyelid.

I've been to two or three over the years. I can't even remember what I wore so it can't be that important. They're often corporate jollies so I probably just wore the kind of Cos dress I wear to the office.
The opening party is different- you'd have wanted to make an effort for that.
