Had dinner with XH this evening after several years NC. It’s almost 10 years to the day since I posted on this board following a phone call from the OW. He has been the most horrendous shit in every way thinkable since but finally, everything caught up with him and now he wants to negotiate with me. I decided to bury the hatchet for the sake of our DC who are teens now.
I've recently lost a lot of weight and for the first time in years, feel really good about myself. He kept commenting on it and joked several times about us getting back together. It was so good to look him dead in the eye and say ‘in your dreams’.
It might have taken a while but for tonight I’m enjoying my just desserts
