What's all this fuss about Air up?

DD's been begging me to buy her one because her friends have one. What's all the fuss? I know it's scented.... And what? Has anyone actually used one and what's your honest opinion? They seem ridiculously expensive for what they are..

Thanks in advance!!!

Gateway vapes Grin

They are overpriced tat, don’t go in the dishwasher and the pods are ridiculously expensive. Was not sad when they got lost.

was basically a massive fad at my dc’s school and barely anyone had one anymore by the end of term as parents were all telling them they had to buy the pods themselves and the kids realised they’d rather just drink plain water.

My daughter has one and she loves it. I actually think they're ridiculous, but apparently it's THEE bottle to have nowadays. You can get a 20% if you ask on here for a code

Ds wanted one, you fill it with water and the scent capsule tricks your brain into thinking it’s flavoured. I asked his friends dad about them but he lost me when he said he’d paid £80 for two. Water bottles. Plastic water bottles. £40 each??? Thankfully DS tried his mates and declared it just water so maybe his brain wasn’t for tricking!!

The black bottle is the cheapest and comes with two pods. It actually looks really nice

The pod might have run out- they don’t last that long. I let my kids put the Nuun hydration tabs in their water bottles if they want flavour. Probably better for hydration and a fraction of the cost.

You can buy 3rd party versions on eBay at about £12 for the larger size, which isn't quite so awful and they're fully compatible with official or 3rd party pods. Still pricey though when you factor the pods in on top!

They're shit and I thought the craze was over.

They leak, they're too big for a normal bottle pouch in a school bag, non insulated, the pods are expensive and taste like shit anyway.

They're below Prime now and have been for a while

MuggleMe · 20/07/2023 23:23

They're the new prime. Just a fad. Lots of schools don't allow squash this is the fancy alternative. My DD has autism and hates them because the smell is really strong.

Youngest's Wanketron dad bought one for his birthday. So he's now cool dad. I'm left with a water bottle that's an absolute pita to clean and the ongoing pod cost. The pods can't be soaked in a bowl of hot soapy water so they are likely harbouring all kinds of bacteria.

Gateway vape - never thought of that but it's an excellent point. I think I'll just forget to order pods and hope the novelty runs out.
