My dd is turning 18 soon and I have no idea what to get her. She says there is nothing she wants. I wanted to get her something special and something she can keep. She doesn't really wear jewellery, thought about a nice watch but she wouldn't wear it as had watches over the years and never worn them. Can anyone suggest anything? I'm really stuck. Looking at spending between £100-£200.

Is there an experience she'd like? She can keep the memory of it forever.

Dd just turned 18, we bought her a pair of Ray Bans, a nice camera & a trip to Berlin

I'm not sure if there is. I will have a look online though thank you.

I was going to pay for a holiday for her but her dad has done that. I am throwing her a party which is costing a small fortune otherwise I would have spent more.

Yes we gave the party a miss, we had an hour & a half with 20 of them having drinks before they went out - my ears are still ringing!

DD is really in to photography/arty stuff so the camera was an easy option, but if they don’t have a ‘thing’ they really like it’s very difficult. Like you I thought jewellery or a nice watch but she wasn’t interested at all

We bought our youngest a velvetiser and sachets from hotel chocolate when she was 18.
We also got a cinema voucher and Costa voucher and tickets for a festival which she went to with friends.

My DD wanted ear pods & sheepskin boots! I bought an engraved champagne flute and made a photo album which went down well.

I bought my DS driving lessons and he had a party with his mates with some money to go into town. He had already had a piece of jewellery for his sixteenth.

Excellent. And about as memorable an experience as any gift could possibly ever be!

I bought my DD a fancy watch, a city break and a very lovely leather travel wallet. I had been saving for a long time plus she didn’t want a party.
