I need to have my shower and go to work - but there's a daddy longlegs in the shower cubicle. And it refuses to escape. I'm going to have to go in there, aren't I?

I just can’t take seriously adults who can’t deal with non life threatening flies/insects/spiders. It’s a crane fly. Irritating yes but enough to put me off a shower - no. It will end up down the plug hole directly water touches it.

Yes, you're being pathetic. Just use the glass and cardboard method and chuck it out of the window.

I have a phobia of them, I can't help it, they fill me with disgust and panic even though I'm fully aware that they can't hurt me.

Keep some bug spray handy or wash it down the plughole.

I would be the same. I've got a completely irrational fear of daddy long legs and couldn't stay in the same room as one. Thankfully the cat we adopted last year is really good at catching them.

I can't stand them either OP. I have a (actual, real, not just don't like much) phobia of spiders, and they're basically a flying spider.

Add to that they for some reason are irresistibly attracted to me and fly straight into my face. Every time. Including once when the people I was with were telling me to not be silly and of course it won't come near you...

I hate to kill things, but once hosed one down the plug in a panic when it flew at me in the shower. It then clawed it's way back up out of the plug hole next to my feet like some kind of back from the dead alien bent on revenge.

I'd have had a flannel wash in the kitchen, if I couldn't get it to bugger off.

Any daddy long legs that saw me naked would willingly throw itself down the plughole.

I’m with you, may I suggest blowing on the bug and hoping it moves out of the way lol
