What did you do for DCs 1st birthday? (No party)

Don't want the hassle of a party a few days before I return to work, but would like to mark the occasion somehow, maybe a trip somewhere?

We went to London Aquarium

I also went to an aquarium, with one of her baby friends and their mum.

With dd1 We had her godparents over for dinner. Was a nice day. So we kept that up for each of them. Not a party

Ds turned 1 on dh's 30th so we just sang happy birthday to him too 😂

Dd - think we went to a summer fair.

Went to a children's theatre show then had the grandparents over for cake.

Cake with family, we wanted to celebrate with the people who'd supported us in our first year as parents.

We had a family (adults mainly) get together with cake and some music, it was more an open house to pop in for a cuppa and some cake to see the birthday girl for those that wanted to.

Invited godparents and grandparents. Cake, sandwiches and champagne.

We went to centre parcs with my mum, took a Colin cake with me and a little birthday banner. It felt perfect!

Zoo

DC1 - two parties - one family, one friends.

DC2 - a balloon and a piece of cake. 😀

On the day itself we went to an aquarium and out for tea. A week or so before we met up at a kid friendly pub with extended family as she has a cousin a couple of weeks older.

Dh took the day off work and we went to a new soft play together.

DC 1 the GPs came to stay .
DC2 and 3 I can't remember.

Had grandparents and Great grandparents over and sat in the garden in the sun with new sandpit birthday present and some party food and cake. It was a lovely day. For our second, similar but with some extra children we knew!

Guess we're going to the zoo then 😂
