I've come late to this - and it's so lovely. It's funny, witty, a bit sweary, life affirming....I'm just loving it and highly recommend it.

I LOVE Ted Lasso

Mull · 19/07/2023 12:38

It’s brilliant! Particularly the first two series.

Rebecca: “How do you take your tea”?

Ted: “Well usually back to the counter as someone’s made a horrible mistake”

😆😆😆

Absolutely love it. All the characters are great. Hannah Waddingham is amazing - and stunning!

Kittybelle123 · 19/07/2023 12:47

Love it, miss it, wish I could rewatch for the first time again, especially the first two seasons. Very envious of those who have yet to experience it ❤️

I was a late to the party with it and only watched it recently because I thought it wouldn't be my thing, but I loved it.

Also how have I only just noticed Jason Sudekis is incredibly good looking?!

BarrelOfOtters · 19/07/2023 12:51

I didn’t think it would be my thing either…it’s brilliantly done.

People assume its only for those into football. But it's not.

Mull · 19/07/2023 12:57

I had to nag and nag my sister to watch it as she thought it wasn’t her thing. I kept saying it wasn’t really about football. She finally watched it and loved it!

I've been nagging everyone I know to watch this. Everyone needs Ted Lasso in their lives.

I recently visited Richmond as I had stayed in Twickenham the night before and wanted to see the area before I went home.

I sat on Ted's bench and wandered around the area that was was all so familiar from the show and just felt so happy! My husband asked me if I was high!

I absolutely loved it. I loved the ending too, it was perfect and I'm glad it didn't drag out (although there are so many unanswered questions!). I love the fact that most of the characters were flawed in some way but all had happy endings (apart from Rupert). I can never decide who my favourite character was, sometimes it's Rebecca, sometimes Ted, sometimes Roy and a lot Danny Rojas!

I loved the first couple of seasons. I think it became unwatchable by the end - contrived and implausible.

Perihellopause · 19/07/2023 13:43

I’ve just started watching it as like others I thought it wasn’t my thing and it’s brilliant!

Same! Terrible though the guardian is there's a good write-up on ted lasso and what went wrong with it.
The combination of mawkish sentimentality and social issues seems to be ruining a lot of TV shows currently

Im a bit late to the party but wondering if you’d watch it with kids (12 and 10)? We’re looking for something new to watch all together (previous hits have been Young Sheldon and Modern Family)
