Has anyone else’s immune system gone completely kaput after having children?

Just that, really - I’ve never been so sick.

I’m now on a sickness management programme at work, ( I had basically zero sickness before Mat leave) I’ve had bloods done etc which were normal.

On my second day in bed currently with a diarrhoea bug that’s making me feel like shit on a stick. Had possibly the worst cold I’ve ever had about a month ago.

What is going on?

Have you had any blood tests lately? I suffer with anemia and a thyroid condition that can both ransack my immune system. My thyroid issue wasn't triggered until post birth.

No but my DC brought home illness and after illness when they entered childcare post mat leave.

Better then than Primary 1 though.

Are your children older or have they just started nursery?

I’ve only got one and yes it started when he went to nursery, so a year ago now.

I had bloods done and they were normal.

I knew there would be some sickness after starting nursery but tbh he hasn’t even been sick the last two times! It’s just me!!
