and another heap of school brought home by DS aged 8.

What do you do with them all?! i've put away the other years as I thought it would be nice for DS to look back on them, but now I foresee us having hundreds of them! especially as DD is going to be starting school in September also.....

I keep the reports obviously, odd bit, so one piece of art, one piece of writing per child, per year. I used to keep the previous year's stuff in case they asked, they never did, and homework book because we did that together and even that small amount is a pile!

Recycle/bin the rest.

Secondary school, one y9, I am keeping the core subjects, the ones they have taken for GCSE, the rest, recycle/bin.

The youngster different secondary almost all work via a tablet so don't have this issue at all

If this a joke thing fine, but they would actually force the kids to change schools and leave their school friends for this?

They are humans not robots

We never kept any if it really... There's a couple if drawings/paintings and a poem and a story framed in the walls around the house, but nothing else was kept.

DS had a ceremonial burning of his GCSE work and notes in the garden. 😁

I let DDs keep them... then encourage them into the recycling pile at the next room sort out.

It was an easy choice when we moved countries at the end of Yr1 and the books came home after our stuff had been shipped and there was no way it would fit into our baggage allowance for the flight (100kg sounds a lot but isn't when its stuff to last 6 weeks!)
