Printing PDFs of prints to frame

I'm thinking about buying some PDFs of printable prints from etsy. Anyone done this and know the best way to get them printed in good enough quality to look good when framed? The PDFs are cheap and descriptions say quality is suitable for size I want (A2) but if it's going to cost a fortune to print I won't bother. Not even sure who would do it? I guess not a photo printing place like photobox as photo paper wouldn't be right. Needs matt paper and thickish?

Thanks to anyone who has read this thrilling thread.

Do you have a printing shop near you? we have one that does leaflets and big advertising posters but you can go in and get things like that printed too.

Hi OP. You should look for a printers of the kind that does work for businesses, and see if they offer fine art printing. The one I use isn’t part of a national chain, so there’s no point me linking, but it would cost £20 for one A2 print, plus VAT. This would be into a smooth or textured paper with light fast ink. It can sometimes also be called giclee prints.

Yes, look for a local print shop, we've got one on our high street that will
do one-offs as well as posters, leaflets etc

Printed.com are good and reasonably priced. They will send you free samples of the paper/card before you select it to print.
