Job choice help

I work full time in the office, close to home, 10 mins by car. I'm well respected and good at my job. Lovely colleagues. Possible progression could be available

I applied for another related job and got it. Its a 40 min journey away but after 4 months training will be hybrid, 2 days a week in the office 3 at home. No idea about progression. Money is the same.

I did work from home in Covid and did struggle after a while so not sure how I will cope. It might be better being a hybrid role.

I need to decide ASAP. Any advice how to decide?? What to consider??
I have no partner to bounce off.

Have you negotiated on salary (what would you need to be paid to feel happy?).

Certainly ask about progression.

What does 'possible progression could be available' in current job actually mean? How long has possible progression been a possibility? Do you know what would need to be true for it to happen?

Civil service so can't negotiate salary.

Progression depends on staff higher up moving so possible when that happens
