How many people live in your household?

I live in a big studio flat with 3 small children for. For now it works. I feel comforted having my kids around me as it wasn't so long ago it was only me! I feel sorry for those who live alone and are lonely 😞 like if something happened to me I'd like to know people would notice.

Put 0 if you live alone

Two adults, a dog, two cats and a kitten.

Coronationstation · 18/07/2023 17:03

Why 0 if you live alone? It’s 1 if you alone! Unless your question is how many OTHER people live in your house?
living on your own if blissful!

NeverThatSerious · 18/07/2023 17:03

Two adults, a toddler and two dogs.

sawnotseen · 18/07/2023 17:05

0 plus two kittens. I don't like living alone and never have until three years ago

Heyhoherewegoagain · 18/07/2023 17:07

3 adults, 1 small dog, 5 bed house

FreyafromLondon · 18/07/2023 17:08

2 me and my daughter in a 3 bed house

ohtowinthelottery · 18/07/2023 17:09

3 adults. DS came back after Uni and is still here 2 years on.

sawnotseen · 18/07/2023 17:09

I'm very clumsy and have low blood pressure so do sometimes faint. I do worry about taking a fall, I won't won't go up to the loft unless someone else is here, I worry about slipping in the shower.
How do you manage in a studio with three children? I assume a studio flat doesn't have any bedrooms?

DinnaeFashYersel · 18/07/2023 17:17

4

2 adults
2 kids
4 bed house

hiredandsqueak · 18/07/2023 17:42

3 adults and a dog in a 4 bed.

Excitingnewusername · 18/07/2023 17:42

2 adults and 2 cats (3 bedrooms)

I lived alone for a long time, as did DH, and we still sometimes feel like we don't have enough space or alone time now so try to make sure we each have the house to ourselves regularly (but we do also work together too).

BoohooWoohoo · 18/07/2023 17:42

4 but 1 is normally at university

There's a bedroom which has a very large wall separating the living area from the bedroom. My eldest daughter has her toddler bed 🛌 in the living room and the other 2 have their cots in the bedroom- yes it's a squeeze but it's cosy also. But I'm aware will need to move In the next couple of years.

Yes! This is quite funny, because I've just been posting on another thread about the joys of living alone & how having anyone else living with me would be a nightmare.

I'm not lonely though, I spend a lot of time with family & friends & if something happened to me people would notice very quickly.

GalileoHumpkins · 18/07/2023 17:46

2 and a cat.
You've made some pretty shitty assumptions about people who live alone.

ColinRobinsonsFart · 18/07/2023 17:49

Just the two of us. Slowing down into retirement.

House is big - we should downsize but we have 40 yrs of stuff/shit
Was two kids and two adults.

We do have lots of folk come to stay and we had a similar aged Ukrainian couple live with us for a year. They took over the spare bedrooms as their space.

Bonjovispjs · 18/07/2023 17:53

Just me and the cat, absolutely love living alone, never felt lonely in my entire life.

FlopsiesAngrySandwich · 18/07/2023 17:56

0 plus pets.
I like living alone but I don't work so I guess people wouldn't know if something happened to me?

FlopsiesAngrySandwich · 18/07/2023 17:58

Hopefully they would hear the dogs barking and come in and rescue them.

Thank you. 😉 I live alone. I'm not lonely but I have been so on occasion and I can envisage that it might happen again. My father also lives alone and doesn't show any signs of loneliness. I see him twice a day. I see my dd and her family around once a week. I don't really like to see other people. Today in a supermarket I wanted to scream because there were so many people about. Urgh!

HermeticDawn · 18/07/2023 18:03

Three. Me, DH, 11 year old DS. Possible dog in future.

Gobimanchurian · 18/07/2023 18:05

2 adults, 2 cats, 3 teens (1 away at Uni a month or two at a time), home now for hols so my house (and heart) are full (but fridge is constantly emptying...)

Arewehumanorarewecupboards · 18/07/2023 18:08

I loved living alone! I was good company!

There’s just two of us now that the children are all grown up. We have spare rooms because they often come and stay.

Arewehumanorarewecupboards · 18/07/2023 18:08

Oh and two dogs!

GoodChat · 18/07/2023 18:10

There are 4 of us in a 5 bed. I grew up in a family of 7 in a 3 bed semi so was determined to buy somewhere with enough good sized private space
