Do tube strikes affect the trains running?

I am travelling by train from London on July 28th - if there is a tube strike is it likely trains will be disrupted as well?

They’ll be running fine, but if it’s a route that’s an alternative to a tube journey they’ll be super busy.

Elizabeth line may not run through central London, perhaps some impact on Thameslink station in central London.

It won't affect the trains, they might just be busier.

There's an RMT overtime ban so that's more likely to affect trains.

it shouldn't affect mainline trains but there are strikes effecting them on different dates. check out here for more info

I would expect the trains to be a lot busier, mostly because of the tube strike but also because of the disruption the RMT overtime ban is likely to cause.

Not much you can do other than travel light, leave plenty of time and know what your alternative routes are (if there are any).
