My current job - standard zero hour contract job. Work every weekend either Saturday or Sunday, and a week day. Flexible in terms of if I need a day off cos of the kids, to leave early etc. I don't need to pay childcare. I love my colleagues but it's starting to get very busy and stressful. I come home physically exhausted. Come home with around £700.
Job offer - the job I did prior to having children. It's Tuesday and Wednesdays. The money per hour is slightly better but as I won't get holiday pay top up (instead I get paid holidays) I'll come home with slightly less. Will need to pay childcare for 1 day. Means I get Thursday through to Tuesday free with the kids and can go back to what I trained in. Probably less flexible, slightly more travel.
