Obviously plane related, it was too straight, too quick, but too long, def not a shooting star. Above Crete at c. 11pm local time.

They're satellite internet relays. There are thousands of the things, and they're hoping to cover the bloody sky in thousands more over the coming years.
Useful, but they're also yet another bit of Musk jizzing over the planet.

That’s a shame, at 48 yrs old I was mildly excited that we’d possibly spied Father Christmas transporting Rudolph etc back from their summer break. It’s a bit shit in grown up land 😭

They've pissed off serious stargazers and moon watchers I believe, messing up the night sky.

Is this a new thing? Has this been launched tonight? There was quite a lot of anxiety/interest as this thing galloped across the skies above the mini disco tonight.
