I'll be honest...I've not given it much time....and its not the concept of downloading an audiobook that's getting me.
I buy too many kindle books for 99p and thought I'd give the audible free trial a go to get through some of the ones I'm keen to read. Indeed, many of the book pages had the below options....with me thinking: great - this book is on audible and it will be included in the subscription.
I get the free trial and it seems....actually its not "free" so much as I have to spend the one of the two credits I have on it (for the first month - think I only get one next month). It's particularly painful to think that each month I'd pay 7.99 for 1 credit, to get an audio copy of a book I paid 99p for.
The actual catalogue of "plus membership" books doesn't seem to have anything I want to listen to. Slightly exaggerated I'm sure I'd find something I want to listen to...but not the kindle books I'd intended - not to mention that half of them promise "You own the audible narration" when I purchase them (I see them nowhere in my libraries).
So am I missing something?
And is there anything good to listen to included in the membership to make the free trial worth it?
