What’s everyone’s plans for the summer holidays?

we will be doing some day trips.

We are currently away in Greece. So that is our big summer holiday- swimming, eating loads of fruit and vegetables and cheese and visiting some family who have retired here. Back next week and it will be quieter. Maybe a day trip here or there and DH spends a week every year sailing with some friends on their boat on the Isle of Wight so we might go and watch him / stay the night if we can find accommodation. (He and his friends sleep on the boat. I am not doing that with the DCs as it's too uncomfortable!.... we can usually get an air bnb out of town for a night or two).

We’re off to Spain for two and half weeks to be with my husband who is working there. Then we come back for a few days and then head off to Devon for a week.
I am not sure what is happening after that.

We’re on our third day in an Agriturismo (farm stay) in Le Marche where the loudest noises are the swimming pool filter and the farm cock crowing. DDog is having a great time and all plans of sightseeing are off because of the heat.

In August we have workmen and maintenance on our flat which should be rented out from September. 17yo DD will alternate between there (doing summer homework or so she says) and stuff with friends in home town which is <2 hours by train. They’re planning to meet up at a beach resort half way or do day trips.

I’m doing a solo trip to Dublin in September. 🙂

A day trip to Beamish, another to the seaside and a third to somewhere in the lakes or the dales to go for a long walk to look at some waterfalls. Other than that, nothing.

Probably not a great deal. I know both girls want to go to our local Pride, and to Rotherham Show, so we'll do them. Maybe a day at Meadowhall. More than likely, a lot of days mooching about the house 🤷‍♀️

We're hopefully going to the seaside for a weekend though - just need to work out when it fits best with my appointments.

I'm sure they'll do some things with friends too, and we've ordered beads to make friendship bracelets for the Eras tour/have been thinking about outfits, so we can start any diy-ing and playing with sparkly make up looks too. Thankfully they're both quite easily pleased & happy to do stuff like that with me 😊

DD is already at home as she had GCSEs this year. She had a mix of doing absolutely nothing and meeting friends.

I had last week off and we did two day trips. She is doing a drama workshop one week, has tons of transition work for 6th form to do and we are off to the US for two week.

When we are back it's results day and shopping for clothes and school stuff.

I have three days out in London planned, one with my adult DC, one with my cousins and another with my school friend.
I am going on a 9 day Med cruise in five weeks time and hoping to book a long weekend away as well.
The gym I go to has n outdoor pool so if it’s sunny I will go a couple of times a week and I’ll also do some costal walks and other day trips.
There are a few good films coming out at the cinema soon so I’ll go once a week as like to watch films on a very hot day.

Working and being too poor to do anything 😡.

We did that last summer, was great! 6 weeks of prawn cocktail crisps and other delicacies

We’ve got a week in Cornwall straight away & a week in Devon at the end of the hols. In between we’ve got days out planned, mostly NT or EH. Also lots of swimming & tennis.

A couple of nights in a family members caravan
Two weeks in Ibiza
Long weekend on the south coast

I'm working for the rest of it, DH will be dealing with the kids (teacher)
