Any dyslexia assessors?

I'm looking at career options at the moment and work a fair bit teaching adults with a range of needs (and none!)

I was wondering if anyone is a dyslexia assessor and how they've found it?

The course is SO expensive and I work wont fund it as we dont pay for assessemnet currently (they may fund an access arrangements assessor course though...)

There also seems to be parents locally despairing of waiting lists/schools not referring and wanting private assessments.

So I was wondering does anyone here do this? How did you find training? Is there a physical cost for you for each person you test etc.

Would love to know a bit more from real people before thinking of this in the future.

(As an ex teacher looking at things I can do when older too. Assuming AI doesn't take this away - eek.)
