What are your favourite champagne glasses?

I need some new champagne glasses and am interested in recommendations please! I've tried stemless but I don't like them as I feel like it warms the drink up too much from being held.

Have a look at Oliver Bonas. They always do lovely glassware and they have a sale on at the moment. They do champagne saucers (retro!) and flutes.

Darlington crystal simplicity flutes.

Another vote for Dartington.

If you want to go really upmarket then Riedel.

Howtohideasausage · 16/07/2023 15:06

I like the saucer style. You can’t fill them up too much so it makes me feel like the fizz is lasting longer than it is.

DiscoDeborah · 16/07/2023 15:20

I much prefer a coupe to a flute. IKEA has some nice ones.

Worldgonecrazy · 16/07/2023 15:21

John Lewis Sommelier range if you can still get them.

StarchySturgess1 · 16/07/2023 15:26

I prefer coupes, as fine edged as possible.

Worldgonecrazy · 16/07/2023 15:28

Just checked and they are no longer available. It’s the one on the right of the attached photo. Definitely the best for champagne, though a coupe is always fun for bubbles up the nose.

I like something with a nice fine edge. Tk Maxx is great for glasses.

Cristal D'arques Éclat Paris Ultime Collection

For every day The Brio by Arcoroc. Designed for use in restaurants it can withstand a lot of dishwashing! Nice and light to hold and the tulip shape is perfect for fizz (saucers are awful as the fizz loses its fizz very quickly).

Cheap and cheerful supermarket ones for me. Have loads so always ready for a large gathering and not fussed if one or two get broken. Bonus is that they have a delicate rim and go in the dishwasher.

Dartington Crystal Sharon Flutes

Lovely to drink from and elegant to look at

Always saucers for us. They need to be properly boob-shaped, nothing angular.

We have LSA for everyday and beautiful Waterford ones (a wedding gift)

They are beautiful!

We have just plain Sainsburys flutes. A bit boring compared to the LSA ones above.

DinosApple · 16/07/2023 16:27

We have a mix of supermarket flutes, a set of LSA saucers (charity shop find) and my personal favourite a pair of unknown brand lead crystal coupes from the reuse shop at the tip!

I love beautiful glass, but we're a clumsy bunch so spending lots would be pointless.
