Sainsburys were selling wraps which were 2 months out of date today, the whole box! 🧐

Rice that was over a year out of date. Even when it's "just" a best before which I don't mind being more flexible with, I thought that was a bit too far past it.

Got a frozen pack of mashed potato which was two months out of date and looked rough. I complained about it and they did and said nothing so avoiding their frozen stuff from now on.

2 Day old fresh chicken that smelt fishy and a year old bag of flour, both
times I wasn’t believed so I boycotted the supermarket

That’s bad. I got home and found the wraps I’d bought two weeks before were months out of date but thought they probably wouldn’t believe me that I’d only just bought them. I’d opened them and eaten two as well! Amazingly they seemed fine!

Most food these days are so processed that they’d probably have been fine, but you can never be too careful! There’s no excuse for them to have out of date food on shelves or to not take responsibility. Sometimes a letter to head office does the trick and gets you a voucher!
