Help! I cannot make a decision

I've been a SAHM for around six years. I do enjoy it, and love that I can be there for DC whenever they need me.

I have lately found myself wanting some further stimulation and have been thinking about getting a job

Ideally P/T and fairly local. One/two days in an office and a day or so from home would be what I'd aim for.

How ever a great full time job has come up. More money obviously. Two days in the local office and three days from home.

Apparently they're very flexible. My friend works there and has a child and says it's no issue getting stuff done etc.

This had me torn already...but then a part time job with two days in the office and any other time from home a twenty minute drive away has also come up!

12k leas per year but I'd have more flexibility as it's only part time.

I could apply an get neither, but then again I could apply and get both!

As I've not been in this situation before I feel really uncertain of what to do. What will I do with my DC in holidays?

Also FT is a mat cover so only a year contract. The PT is permanent.

Any advice so appreciated x

As you have been off work for six years, I'd apply to both for the application and interview experience. At the interview you will get a 'feel' for each organisation and the people you work with. Then decide.

If money isn't an issue in your household I'd go with the PT as its permanent but also gives you a day for you to do non-mum, non-wife, non-work things!

Thanks so much @RachelGreensHair

I'm leaning towards the P/T role but as you say there's no harm in interviewing for both

Good thinking x

I'd choose a permanent job in your shoes. Hope whatever you decide goes well.
