What money to take to Turkey

Has anyone been to Turkey lately and are we better to take euros or lira? Or both?

It depends on what part you're going to.
Antalya area prefers euro, Dalaman area prefer sterling and lira.

I cant help with the lira/euro question, but I always used this site. Often- if you can collect it beforehand (NOT at the airport) it was the best when I used to travel.

The hotel shop we stayed at took euros, the supermarket took lira and the market took english pounds 🤣 they did convert for us though if we didnt have the right currency but i downloaded my own converter just to double check

I have always taken lira, never had an issue at all and in fact find things are slightly cheaper in lira as when they convert the price to £/€ is not always right. If you get it right in your head before you go that 100lira is x amount in £ you’ll be fine
