If you were going to update a Sherlock Holmes story, which one would you choose? As a normal detective story, I mean-imagine Vera or what's his name from Shetland investigating.

That one with the racehorse - The Adventure of Silver Blaze. I can see that translating well to the modern age, plus you get the curious incident of the dog in the night time as well! 😁

Ooh-I don't think I know that one! Off to read it. For clarity, this is for an informal competition in my writer's group. There's no prize-or I'd offer to share it if I win!

The veiled lodger maybe? That could update well.

Though it amazes me that Holmes was so sympathetic to a murderer.
