I’ll go first - I wanted to be Justine Frischmann from Elastica - her hair and her confidence!

Probably at 18 Debbie Harry - shows my age . I would have other choices at other ages.

Alison Moyet. A beautiful face with hypnotic eyes and a deep, rich, stop-you-in-your-tracks voice.

So here - I had dark hair didn't look a thing like her

Doro Pesch. Same age as me, everything I'm not looks-wise. Love her!

To be fair I did look like her, very slightly. A guide dog in a dark corner might have been fooled 😁

The goal was to be someone incredibly thin, ally McNeal was the dream, joey from
Dawsons creek. I was over wanting to look like Geri Halliwell. I think Buffy too.

I wanted to look like Madonna from the Papa Don’t Preach Video. But I had long red hair which I was too attached to to cut and dye!

Debby Harry is a very beautiful woman.
I, really sadly, was a bit convinced that if only I looked like Joan Jett one of my heavy metal crushes would spot me at a gig and sweep me off my feet (or just grab me for a quick shag in the dressing room of the Edinburgh Playhouse🤣)

At 18 I got told often that I looked liked “one of the Allsaints” which I definitely cultivated a bit by styling myself that way. The funny thing is that people couldn’t agree which one - I looked like a blend of the Appleton sisters and Melanie Blatt.

otherwise it was always Kate Moss for me at that age.
