Does anyone here work at Alton Towers?

Just wondering, whilst walking through the gorgeous grounds earlier, our group wondered how the staff can ensure the park is empty at night? There's loads of little caves where groups of kids were hanging out and chilling. The grounds are huge!! Gutted the sky ride is closed lol!

They release the hounds! 🤣🤣

No. I'm gonna take guesses though- maybe there's hidden cctv for monitoring areas of the park

Maybe they count in and out? Probably on something digital

Maybe even if someone wasn't - night staff security would manage it and after hours probably class it as trespassing

Hopefully most folk take their kids home with them tho

But also it's not a particularly residential area is it? Like not a massive town with tons of 24 hour public transport

I reckon most people arrive in cars and coaches and probably people take the people they bring home with them

They have night patrols as well as carrying out cleaning, general maintenance and repairs while the parks shut to the public. Nobody wants the rides shut for days while open if they can help it.

Anyone dumb enough to stay in but smart enough to not get caught is just in for a rather boring night.

Yeah that's true. I thought OP meant kids getting lost and forgotten

Not that grown ups might hide out in hope of riding rides alone under the stars. Grown ups hopefully would realise that they shut down without ride operators present

I was more just thinking there's bound to be some kids who would try and see if they could stay overnight in the park - maybe for TikTok or something lol.
