Social media behaviour

Why do people post selfies or loads of pictures of themselves on group pages. For example I follow a page for a local park. People post selfies of themselves at the park. I would understand sharing on your own page but find this behaviour so weird. Why do people think that strangers want to see their personal pictures?

I don’t even understand selfies when people post them on their own page tbh.

It’s such narcissistic behaviour, people seem to think that strangers are interested in seeing their photos.

They are building up a brand

They have probably just tagged the place in the photograph and the place has their page set up to add tags to their wall. The people probably don't know their picture is up there.

Librarybooklover · 13/07/2023 15:55

No they definitely know it’s up there, they are posting on the page rather than tagging themselves at the location. The caption says, “here’s me enjoying the park last week.” Obviously there’s no harm in it it just boggles my mind why grown adults so this stuff!?

It’s not someone who is a blogger or trying to build a brand just someone who feels the need overshare their life I guess!!!!!
