Frozen shoulder finally seems to be improving, how long did you find it took to be painfree

I've got a frozen right shoulder, finally after months of pain it seems to be improving.

The pain has significantly decreased and the range of movement has increased, can lift my arm up and to the side although putting it behind my back is still difficult but at least I can wash my hair easily.

Just wondering how long other people found it took for the shoulder to heal and if they recovered full movement

I’ve had a frozen shoulder since last September but only diagnosed last week by physio.

I’ve been told 1-2 years for full recovery but hoping it won’t be that long! My pain is starting to ease, although the arm is still heavy and my shoulder is stiff. I’m so far managing the (fairly simple!) exercises I’ve been given.

My DH had this. The first time he had it, he had all sorts of interventions, physio, injections etc and it took six months to go.

The second time he just put up with it, and it took six months to go.

Mine took 2 years from when it started to be pain free. In that time I had surgery, physio and numerous injections (get those if you can, they're great)

Mine started in April 21, had steroid injection and 3x hydrodistension procedures. Is so much better than the dark days (and nights) but still crunches occasionally and aches A LOT. Movement almost back to normal, even if not as smoothly as the other side.

I can’t remember exactly but it was much quicker than feared. Osteopath was quite surprised how quickly. I think the best thing I did was paint the shed - inside and out - several coats, in addition to the prescribed exercise.

Swimming really helped when I had a shoulder injury.
